1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
for ever.

1st Galashiels Girls' Brigade meets on Monday evenings during school term times.
All girls welcome: P1 to S6
For many months now, representatives of the three Church of Scotland congregations in Galashiels have been meeting, to consider the way forward for our congregations. The General Assembly decided in May that we need to reduce the number of ministers in charges throughout Scotland. Our Presbytery has asked every congregation to discuss with its neighbours the best way forward.
On Sunday 22nd September, after the morning service, all members and adherents of St John's, Old Parish and St Paul's and Trinity churches will be asked to vote between two options that have been agreed by the Kirk Sessions.
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. ...
